At the Savannah Leadership Foundation, we believe that strengthening nonprofits and community leaders strengthens Savannah.
Capacity building is not just about the resources a nonprofit has today — it’s about its ability to effectively deliver its mission now and sustain that impact in the future. Investing in capacity means investing in the long-term health and effectiveness of organizations that serve our city.
Through our Capacity Building Program, the Savannah Leadership Foundation provides scholarships, grants, and strategic support to nonprofits, small businesses, and community leaders who are working to create meaningful impact.
These resources help organizations strengthen key areas that allow them to grow and serve more people, including:
• Developing communication and outreach strategies
• Improving volunteer recruitment and engagement
• Leadership development and succession planning
• Updating technology and operational systems
• Strengthening how organizations measure and communicate their impact
When capacity building is successful, it equips organizations with the tools, systems, and leadership needed to fulfill their mission more effectively and expand their impact over time.
Throughout the year, the Savannah Leadership Foundation will provide capacity-building scholarships and grants designed to support organizations and leaders who are committed to strengthening our community.
If your nonprofit, small business, or initiative would like to be considered for the Savannah Leadership Foundation’s Capacity Building Program, we invite you to apply.
